The 2011 GPMABL Red Sox return a strong core of players from last season's championship team and are ready to defend their title. Brett Hiett returns for his eighth GPMABL season, and third as player/manager. The team would like to welcome new players Joe Gorman, Travis Gerstacker, Fred Kerner, Dave Humes and Kevin Thomas.The GPMABL welcomes three new expansion teams to the league: Mayfair Fighting Irish, Philadelphia Muckdogs and the Quad County Brawlers. This brings the league to eight teams. The Red Sox will compete in the Penn Division against the Colt 45's, Aston Outlaws and Philadelphia Muckdogs.
The new schedule is up, and the Red Sox start the season Sunday April 3 at 10:00am against the expansion Muckdogs on Bartley Field at LaSalle College High School.
