The Sox had a solid effort on the field, on the mound and in the batter's box on Sunday as they swept the expansion Brawlers 5-1 and 6-2. The Sox ran wild in the first game, with Eric Guise nabbing four bases, and Brian Freiland setting a career high with two stolen bases - effectively doubling his previous season high. Rumor has it that his bunt base hit was a career first as well. It must be the shoes.
In Game 2, it was
Bret Binder's time to shine at the plate as he made a push for the
Pudding Lane player of the week prize. He went 3 for 3 with a double and an RBI. The former Red Sox ace, who is recovering for two shoulder surgeries, shows us he's also a weapon in the lineup.
