Preliminary Round
Comets 0 - Colts 2
Semi Finals
Colts 4 - Red Sox 5
Red Sox 0 - Colts 2
Colts 2 - Red Sox 3
In game two of the semi-finals, the Red Sox couldn't get the bats going and were shut-out by Colt 45s' ace Ian Downes. With the series tied 1-1, the Red Sox carried a 3-0 lead into the 7th inning, but the Colt 45s wouldn't go quietly. The Colt 45s scored twice, but with the tying run in scoring position, Red Sox ace Eric Guise coaxed a routine fly ball for the third out to clinch the series.
In the other semi-final, the A's topped the Phillies two games to one. The two teams with the best regular season records met for Game 1 of the Finals which was the third game of the day for both teams.
The Red Sox showed now mercy on the A's depleted pitching staff. The Sox offense scored every inning and racked up 15 runs in 5 innings. The A's managed just two runs before the game was stopped due to darkness in the top of the 6th inning. Since this is a playoff game, the game must be finished and therefore will resume Sunday at 10am at Richie Asburn Field in FDR Park.
